Summary: This book is about the famous author Walter Anderson. It tells of how he would venture out on many adventures to capture just the right photos of nature. He would row his old boat out to Horn Island and camp there for several weeks to months to capture the most beautiful paintings. He would also keep his small room in his cottage locked up and let no one in there. After he passed away his wife went in the room and saw all of his beautiful paintings from his days at Horn Island. He kept these to himself but drew many other works for people all his life. I would use this book in my class to show my students that it takes determination and patience to draw and get something beautiful accomplished. I would also use this book to teach my students that everyone has their own opinion about what type of art is beautiful and what is not beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
